So Smoaky wanted to buy meat from the back of a truck in Italy, TX

While we were on the way to Ennis today, we saw a truck with a sign that read 20 ribeyes for 25 dollars.  It took all of my might to get Smoaky NOT to stop.  I don't have many rules when it comes to food, but buying red meat off the back of a truck is one of them.  I am sure it's fine.  But I am not willing to take the chance.  You can't tempt fate like that.  You never want to have to listen to a doctor lecture you about where you should buy your meat from.  And how good could those steaks really be?  Seriously little mark up.  And where did they come from?  Mark this as the 2nd time I have saved Smoaky from making a terrible mistake that could have cost him his very breath.  Please tweet or reply your thoughts on buying meat from the back of a truck.  I say it's bad mojo.  Who's with me?

That is all.

  1. Actually saw a similar deal in Durham the other day. One of those moments where a split second decision could very well save your life. I say stay away from roadside meat.
